Plug in Mexico in the search engine:

    15. Charting America: Maps from the Lawrence H. Slaughter Collection and
    Others
    http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigital/explore/dgexplore.cfm?topic=…

In 1997, the New York Public Library received a very impressive map
collection from the estate of the late Lawrence H. Slaughter. Four years
later, the remainder of his collection was also given to the Library's Map
Division. It is certainly a tremendous offering, and these maps are offered
as part of the New York Public Library's Digital Gallery site. Visitors to
the site can look over 1000 maps of North America that date from the 16th
century all the way up to the waning years of the 19th century. Users are
free to select from sections that include maps of North America, New York
City, Virginia, and diverse others. A few of the gems offered here include
an early map of the plan for Washington, D.C. and a chart of the West Indies
    from 1702. [KMG]

    Pueblos/Ranchos

    pueblosamerica.com

I came upon the above mentioned site, and located some Pueblos/Ranchos that I had not been able to locate, not only in our area of research, but throughout the Mexican Republic. I was specifically looking for some locations that were mentioned in records from the early 1800's.

This is a great resource site for researchers.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Helyn.

The link Pueblosamerica.com is just great! I had been looking for
"Minillas de Jerez" for the longest time in the vicinity of Jerez without
success. There is no such place in Jerez. I typed "Minillas de Jerez" in
the "search block" and it came back with "Minillas" in Genaro Codina! I
have been searching in the wrong place all this time.

    Thank you Helyn.

    Pueblosamerica.com

    Concerning the link: pueblosamerica.com ...

I was searching for "Nuestra Senora De Los Dolores", Teocaltiche, Jalisco,
    Mexico.

Is "Sierrita de los Dolores (La Sierrita)" (near Rio Verde) the same
    pueblo/rancho?

Also... Does anyone know of an online source for telephone listings for
Teocaltiche, Jalisco (a city of about 40,000)?
I am trying to plan my trip this early June and would like to locate the
cemeteries in the general area of Teocaltiche.

    Thank you...
