    Mariano Romo and Reyes

After some long reserch and help from Miguel Beltran who is realted through a marriage from Mariano's son Manuel, we have determined that Leocadia and Paula are the same person and married Estevan after Mariano died ( as you noted as widowed). Thank you so much for replying as it is tough at times to get assitace.

    Happy new year!

    Thank you for your help!

I have not ordered the transcribe yet. I would contact the genealogy society of Albuquerque. # is on the order form on the link at bottom of the page. Most of the records they transcribe are for New Mexico. There is a San Felipe in Valenica County. I noticed going through the New Mexico records lots of people in marriage records listed as being from Zacatecas, Mexico. FYI Jokae

Did Pioquinto Carmona have a son named Apolonio Carmona?

There was a story that Manuel Reyes Romo and Ave Maria Carmona Beltran brought to the US abt 1900 a girl named Rosario Martinez who's mother died and father could not care for her. She married Married a Manuel Carmona Here in La Verne, his fathers name was Juan Carmona of Caquistle and Mother was Crispina Vasquez of San Diego, Juan's Fathers name was Apolonio and his wife was Crispina Vasquez.

One could only believe that a family member would let there daughter go with another family member?

    Marriage of Mariano Romo to

    That is fantastic Miguel!
When our great grandmother Prudencia Carmona Lopez Beltran Romo in 1900 brought back the child named Rosario Martinez from Caquistle because her mother had died and father could not care for her. She was raised as one of thier children and my grandfather Isador considered her a sister.

Rosario Martinez married Manuel Carmona. We were always taught to call her "Tia" , it felt more honorary than actual.

To find the Carmona connection through Prudencia and Apolonio will make many of the relatives here in La Verne quite happy.

    Your Primo
    Dennis Romo
