The ascendency of Diego Alonso Gonzalez de Hermosillo has been reviewed before in Nuestros Ranchos. Go to forum topic: Massias (Macias) Valades con De Hermosillo de Cienega de Mata, Ojuelos ) . In a nutshell, there was debate whether Diego Alonso Gonzales de Hermosillo married to Juana de Alderete (was the same individual that married earlier to Luisa Munos de Nava, or his son. Because in Diego and Juana's wedding there is no mention of him being widower, some of us concluded that they were father and son, otherwise Diego would have been in his 60's when he remarried, not impossible, but less likely.

Yes, the brothers Pedro and Asencio Macias Valades married sisters Maria de los Remedios and Gertrudis de Aranda Sotomayor, respectively. The sad note is that Gertrudis died within two months of giving birth. She was burried in Cienega de Mata, Ojuelos, Jalisco on 13 Agosto 1738. Their child (Antonio, b. 24 Jun 1738) survived. He married Maria Gertrudis Lopez on 26 Aug 1759, Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco.

Thanks for the information on Juan MACIAS VALADES and his descendants. Please confirm that Pedro Nolasco MACIAS VALADES and his brother Asencio married two sisters, María de los Remedios and Gertrudis Brígida ARANDA SOTOMAYOR. I found Gertrudis baptismal record dated 2 May 1716 at Ciénega de Mata.

I visited the website as you directed me and, unless I misread it the evidence, it concludes with Diego alonso gonzalez de hermosillo o Ramirez de Hermosillo married twice first to Luisa Munos de Nava and then to Juana Alderete,with the marriage record of diego and juana as listing the parents. Did I misunderstand?
